About our Therapy Practice in Homewood

Niesha Cory, LCPC

“Do what makes your soul happy”, is a quote that I live by. But this can be hard to do, when the twists and turns of life come up. Dealing with difficult life events can be hard to deal with by yourself. I have always said that everybody needs to have a good support system by their side through the good and bad times. And I truly believe that counseling is an amazing resource to add to your support system.

I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents and family in a range of settings. This can include providing consultation services with parents to help support them, support their children while they are not in therapy. I am currently an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trained clinician. And I also use this form of therapy to help individuals cope with the trauma that they have endured such as sexual and domestic violence.

My therapeutic process stems from a compassionate and empathetic viewpoint. I strive to provide a safe/brave space for individuals to speak freely about what they are going through in their life. I believe that ones healing journey is being able to have that connection to the mind, body and soul; and nourishing those aspects of yourself to the fullest.

Everybody should be able to have peace of mind in their life. And I am here to help guid you to get to what your “peace of mind” looks like to you!!!
